Raspberry Chocolate Heart Tarts, fit for The Queen #BDSM #GBLTLit #polyamory

So before I share the pictures, please keep in mind the fact that I cheated and used pre-made, refrigerated cookie dough and that Simon would no doubt have made a much prettier dessert than I did :D. The Queen has quite a sweet tooth, especially when it comes to chocolate. First a little excerpt from the scene in which Simon presents the wonderful Raspberry Chocolate Heart Tarts to The Queen.

from "Out of the Night: Book One" Copyright Joelle Casteel 2007-2014.

The Queen perked up in his chair. "Dessert?" A goofy grin spread across his face. "What did you make for dessert?"

"Raspberry Chocolate Heart Tarts, my Queen." Simon smiled proudly. "I found the recipe in my new chocolate desserts recipe book."

"Very good."

Orlee walked back into the dining room and stopped next to The Queen. She knelt beside his chair and looked up with a smile. "Dessert, my Queen."

"Place a tart on my plate and then give the tray to Simon."

Orlee placed the tart on The Queen's dessert plate. She started to move away when she let out a loud gasp and looked over her shoulder to see The Queen grinning at her, his hand still cupping her ass.

"Problem?" The Queen's grin grew larger.

"Um... no, my Queen," Orlee sputtered as she tried to step back from the table, only to find herself more securely in The Queen's hand.

The Queen let his hand drop to his chair. "Get back to your place before I am enjoying you instead of this tart."

Orlee gasped and ran back to Simon, giving him the tray and quickly sinking into submissive pose behind his chair.

Chuckling softly, The Queen looked down at his dessert and picked up his fork.

"My Queen?" Raanan started, but stopped quickly when The Queen raised his hand in the air.

"No talking during chocolate, boy."

Raanan laughed, blushing. "Sorry, my Queen."

And now my experiment to make them happen lol

1. Here's the picture of my ingredients (minus the chocolate chip cookie dough) before I got started. Two types of chocolate candy, marshmallow fluff, raspberry preserves. While my coffee maker ended up in the picture, no coffee went in the recipe.

2. Here I've pushed the cookie dough into the cavities of my heart shaped pan. I'm sure Simon would have made a crust from scratch or if determined to make a cookie crust (which was actually very good) he would have used a solid chocolate dough, rather than one with chips in it; it was difficult to handle and mold.

3. Here's a picture of the assembled tarts. I'd already baked the cookie crust for maybe 4 minutes. Then I did layers of marshmallow fluff, preserves, and both chocolate flavors. At this point, I put it back in the over for another 5 or so minutes.

4. This is how the tarts looked after their first baking. Decently pretty, huh?

5. When I tried to de-pan the tarts the first time, I found a cauldron of mixed goo, so I kind of mixed it up a bit and put the tarts back in the oven for maybe another 10 minutes or so.

6. To get them to really, fully cool down, they spent some time in the freezer before I finally got three out that looked pretty enough to put on the plate, decorate, and take this picture of.

Yes, they were crazy sweet- I didn't manage to eat a whole one. But yes, I can imagine The Queen enjoying them. :D

"Out of the Night: Book One" blurb

Restless and world-weary, Mearr isn't about to admit she needs anyone's help, even this gorgeous man who has taken her into his home. Well one of his homes and part of this huge family she's heard about but not met all of. She's young, looks young, and knows it but at least she's legal now so she can pick a new name to go with her new life...

The Queen knows he wants Mearr bad, ever since the first time he saw her in the window of the coffeehouse. He has his plan, but even a Dominant's plans don't always survive the unpredictability of the future. He struggles to figure out this temperamental woman he's brought home, how best to help her. Then he takes her to his mansion...

They wait patiently for The Queen to bring Mearr home. Well to the home they've been redecorating for Him and for the hopes that she'll become part of their family and be trained to please Him. Simon and Tommy have seen her, of course, being The Queen's right and left hands; they say she'll be a perfect addition...

Please come along with Joelle on this journey, shared with the readers in serial fashion. A multitude of "Happily-ever-afters" are waiting with the completion of book 9.

Joelle's Bio:

Joelle Casteel has so many faces, ways of being that no assumption is never safe. The woman who'll use a child's backpack as a purse is just as likely to describe a graphic sex act. My Master, the dominant in the BDSM relationship that shapes much of my life, jokes that I'm so far from the mainstream that I've forgotten what the mainstream is. This of course shows up in my writing. I regularly blur gender and sexual orientation lines- although I will fight against the misgendering of my characters (between The Queen's legs are a penis and balls and he says he's a MAN.) Whether a short story or a novel, whether erotica or erotic romance, I tend to bring many taboos to the sex/BDSM table alongside crazy plots, over-the-top characters, and romance even in the midst of relationships you may never find in a greeting card store. With BDSM gaining a broader audience with various books- which she will not name because she can't stand them- she feels it's past time to put out her impression of what BDSM can look like in reality.
